1854 Bank Barn

This barn was built by the Quakers when the farm was established in 1842.  Many of the main beams are one continuous piece.  The barn measures 37 feet by 57 feet.  Plans are being made to put a new roof on, fix or replace the siding, and fix the southwest corner of the foundation.  It looks rough at first glance, but has held a 6,200 pound tractor and the ridge is very straight.  Two years ago I had over 1,000 square bales in the north end and never had any problems.  The only item the barn really needs is money, time, and TLC, which it will eventually get.
